Second Meeting 14th May 2017
Jack was pumped up and hoping to add to his success of last month when he arrived at the circuit. There were several family members at the track to support him and give him encouragement, and this seemed to have the desired effect.
The qualifying session went well and he managed to start third on the grid for the first race. But with a brilliant start, which he has been practising during test days, he managed to take the lead by the second corner. However, very soon after this a hit from behind him spun Jack out of contention and put him in last place. But determined as ever, he got back into the race and pushed as hard as he could. He managed to climb his way up to fourth place by the end of the race, but also gained the vital single point for fastest lap of the day. A lap time that was unbeaten for the whole morning.
The next two races saw him finishing an incredibly close second each time, and Jack’s confidence started to grow.
The last race saw him fighting for the lead, but unfortunately, Jack was penalised for a ROBUST move when overtaking. The incident resulted without any injury or any driver coming off the track. However, Jack had to settle for sixth place.
But in spite of this, Jack is holding equal 4th in the Championship, and there is still so much to go for. The feeling from Jack's camp is, that there is so much more success to come. Keep checking to find out more.
